Hoei Sangyo's "PlayStation" master disc creation tool, "DPM44+CD duplicator: SR-4400cs," has been used widely in Japan as well as around the world. To respond to the growing demand for a model compatible with "PlayStation 2", Hoei Sangyo has developed and introduced its successor, the DPM88. The Production of master discs for "PlayStation" software is a long, laborious process. Since "PlayStation 2" uses DVD media, the increased data capacity requires even more time for master disc production. By using DPM88, you can produce multiple master discs simultaneously and cut your production time to 1/9th of the ordinarily required. The new DPM88 is easy to use. By connecting the SCSI card to a master data PC, installing the DPM88 application program, and hooking up the DSR-8000cs/dp, the DPM88 can produce up to four master discs simultaneously with a single operation. By inserting the VMI (Versatile Media Interface) ™card(*1) developed originally by Hoei Sangyo into the DSR-8000, a maximum of three expansion units can be connected for simultaneous operation of up to 20(*2) drives. The VMI extension function can be also used to process eight master discs in a single operation. *1 Option *2 When CD-R drives are used. Maximum of 16 units can be connected when DVD-R drives are used.
